13 PUBLIC HEARING, Ordinance amending Municipal Code relating to Fire Prevention ; and adopting by reference the Uniform Fire Code , 1967 Edition , declared open and affidavits of publication and mailing ordered filed , There being no oral or written protests , public hearing was closed on motion of Councilman Petersen , seconded by Councilman Weymouth, and carried . Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO , 1478 REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ; AND ADDING ARTICLE II TO CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION ; AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1967 EDITION, AS COMPILED BY THE CALIFORNIA FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION, seconded by Councilman Rhodes , and carried on roll call vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent , Application of WILLIAM R . BARNETT for exception to the Subdivision Ordinance to allow resubdivision of one parcel into three parcels , involving exceptions to street frontage requirements , 579- 585 Canyon Road . Planning Commission on January 12 had considered the application , which had been referred by the Subdivision Committee . Parcel , which is slightly under one acre in size , was proposed to be subdivided into three lots , one fronting directly onto Canyon Road with the other two each having 10-foot wide access to Canyon Road . Planning Commission had recommended that Council authorize the exception . Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6447 GRANTING EXCEPTION TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, BEING THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY - WILLIAM R . BARNETT, seconded by Councilman Henderson . Councilman Petersen noted that provisions for access to the property, as required by the Fire Department , are in line with previous Council actions on this subject , since the two access strips were adjacent to total 20 feet in width . Motion carried on roll call vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent . Sewage Treatment Plant -- Addendum of Self-Monitoring Program .
