7 I <br /> Addendum to the agenda concerned the Transportation Committee request for Council <br /> authorization of preparation of plans and specifications for Mini -Bus Shelter , <br /> Southern Pacific Depot site . Councilman Petersen advised that the Chamber <br /> of Commerce and a local contractor (Lou Masarie ) had prepared a proposal for a <br /> shelter at the S . P . depot , in view of the previous bids coming in too high . <br /> A rendering and cost estimate were made . Request was now being made to allow <br /> the City to expend approximately S1 , 000 to prepare plans and specifications <br /> for a shelter estimated to cost between $14 , 000 and $18 , 000 . This would be <br /> without the 4-faced clock . The kiosk might be an additional bid item , if <br /> the costs are kept down , <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to authorize funds not to exceed $ 1 , 000 to prepare <br /> plans and specifications for Mini -Bus Shelter , seconded by Councilman Weymouth . <br /> Councilman Petersen anticipated that there would be a period of approximately <br /> two weeks before preliminary plans are brought back , and about six weeks for <br /> the final plans and specifications , Motion carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71-52 ) <br /> Councilman Keckley requested permission of Council and approval of funds to fly <br /> to Newport Beach on March 31st , to attend meeting of California League of <br /> Cities Committee on the Future , of which he is a member . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to authorize attendance and funds for Councilman <br /> Keckley to attend the meeting in Newport Beach , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71 -53 ) <br /> Mayor Bury announced he had recently been appointed to the Revenue and Finance <br /> Committee of the National League , <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adjourn , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried , <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 : 44 P .
