r7 0 CONSENT CALENDAR : ( a ) Adoption of ORDINANCE NO . 1130 . 122 ADDING SECTION 2 . 56 TO , AND AMENDING SECTION 2 . 58 OF , ORDINANCE NO , 1130 , THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE FRONTAGE OF CORNER LOTS ; (b ) Adoption of ORDINANCE NO , 1130 . 123 ADDING SECTIONS 2 . 53 AND 32 . 12 TO ORDINANCE NO . 1130 , THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR "HOUSING FOR THE ELDERLY" ; Ordinances were introduced at Council meeting of March 8 , 1971 , and affidavits of publication were noted on file . ( c ) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE , Nos . 83233 to 83375 , inclusive , totaling $213 , 299 . 58 . Councilman Keckley moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items (a ) , (b ) and ( c ) , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , COMMUNICATIONS : 1 , League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County asking City support of proposed $40 million bond election for purchase of park lands in County of San Mateo . 2 , Committee for Green Foothills regarding use of certain chemicals in controlling tree growth . Council discussed the proposed bond election in June , and generally indicated approval of the issue , but felt that the time interval was too short . Councilman Henderson suggested that response should be made to the Board of Supervisors , endorsing the proposal , and urging the Board to consider establishing a date for election , and use caution in setting tie date . It was also felt response should indicate City did not accept the June date . With reference to the use of growth retardant chemicals , Mayor Bury noted that he had observed spraying equipment used by utility companies , and questioned whether this might be detrimental to human health . He felt this should be referred to Staff for response , City Manager advised that for the past three years the herbicide has been used to retard growth under utility lines . Mayor Bury requested the matter be referred to Staff for continuing observation , and to respond to the Committee . Councilman Henderson moved to accept the communications and recommendations for making appropriate response , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71 - 51 )
