76 <br /> Mr . James Schoffa , representing Carpenters ' <br /> Union , questioned whether the development would <br /> be conventional construction , or prefabricated , <br /> Mr . Davidson responded that construction would be the conventional type . <br /> Doris Thompson, 49 Elm Street , Secretary, Park <br /> and Recreation Commission , felt that the Com- <br /> mission was not given the opportunity to participate <br /> in the planning for open space in Redwood Shores <br /> as it should . <br /> Councilman Keckley agreed that Park and Recreation Commission should receive <br /> the plan for perusal and feed -back . <br /> William Rodgers , Leslie Properties , indicated <br /> they realized they had gone further along than <br /> they should have before Park and Recreation <br /> Commission became involved in park design , and <br /> this would not happen again . However , in this <br /> particular case , linear park has not yet actually <br /> been designed , and when proposal is made , it will <br /> go to Ut Park and Recreation Commission . He <br /> indicated Leslie Properties is also concerned , and <br /> that they desire to cooperate with all City agencies <br /> involved . <br /> After further brief discussion , Councilman Keckley moved to close the public <br /> hearing , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried , <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6471 CONDITIONALLY APPROVING <br /> APPLICATION FOR PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY IN THE <br /> VICINITY OF SHELL PARKWAY, PENINSULA PARKWAY, DAVIT LANE AND ANCHOR CIRCLE <br /> IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman Williams . <br /> Councilman Henderson spoke in opposition to the proposal , objecting to the <br /> peripheral parking , and indicating belief that buildings were awkwardly <br /> placed because of soil conditions , parking was inconvenient , and that it <br /> was placed too close to area zoned R-l . Motion carried on roll call vote , <br /> Councilman Henderson voting no . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , Request of ALPHA LAND COMPANY to amend the Zoning Map to rezone <br /> property located at westerly corner of Eden Bower Court (private street ) and <br /> Farm Hill Boulevard , being unsubdivided lands approximately four acres in <br /> size , from "CN" (Neighborhood Commercial ) District to "RG " (Garden Apartments ) <br /> District , declared open and affidavits of publication and mailing ordered <br /> filed . Planning Commission at meeting of February 23 , 1971 , had unanimously <br /> recommended approval of the rezoning . <br /> Mr . John Griffin, Alpha Land Co . , 2395 <br /> De la Cruz Blvd . , Santa Clara , offered <br /> to answer any questions of Council . <br /> There being no communications or further discussion , Councilman Petersen moved <br /> to close the public hearing , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 60 , 17 , 1 to Ordinance <br /> No . 1130 , the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance , rezoning property in the vicinity <br /> of Farm Hill Boulevard and Eden Bower Lane , seconded by Councilman Henderson <br /> and carried . <br />
