80 <br /> Councilman Henderson indicated she was not averse to increasing rates , if <br /> justifiable , but suggested action be delayed one week to allow the opportunity <br /> to review the resolution . <br /> Mr , Davis , 2807 Hopkins , Vice President and <br /> Treasurer of Redwood Jeep Club , reported they <br /> met twice monthly , their club had twelve <br /> members , and they were non-profit . Their <br /> dues were $2 . 00 per month , and being their <br /> only source of income , if the rent went to <br /> $25 , 00 per meeting , they would have no <br /> choice but to find another meeting place . <br /> Council in general felt that additional information was needed . Mayor Bury <br /> indicated he would like to see the Veterans Building used more effectively , <br /> and asked that the Veterans Affairs Committee meet and analyze the rate <br /> structure (Councilmen Petersen , Henderson and Rhodes ) . Chairman Petersen <br /> tentatively set a meeting for Thursday , March 25 , at 7 : 30 A . M . <br /> Madeline Wallace , Past President of the Native <br /> Daughters of the Golden West , indicated they <br /> had submitted a letter , and asked if additional <br /> information was needed . <br /> It was suggested by Council that before the matter comes before them again , <br /> those interested should be informed as to what is being considered . Mayor <br /> Bury indicated he would ask that the matter be brought back on the earliest <br /> possible agenda . (Memo 3 -23 -71 ) <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6472 AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY - <br /> CONSENT TO GRANT OF EASEMENT , seconded by Councilman Williams . The agreement <br /> provided for consent of the County to granting of an easement over property <br /> in which the County holds a leasehold interest (Work Furlough Facility ) for <br /> which the City compensates the County in the amount of $857 . 00 . The easement <br /> is being acquired in connection with City ' s portion of SCSP construction . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6473 AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br /> CONDITIONAL EXPENDITURE OF $188 , 700 FROM THE REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT <br /> DISTRICT 3 -65 1966 SEWER SYSTEM FUND AS A LOAN TO PROVIDE INTERIM FINANCING <br /> FOR THE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM OF THE JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY FOR THE STRATEGIC <br /> CONSOLIDATION SEWERAGE PLAN, seconded by Councilman Keckley , Staff report <br /> indicated the transfer was necessary as a loan only , and would be repaid <br /> as soon as the District is reimbursed for expenditures made under Federal <br /> Grant , Sufficient funds were available for the temporary transfer . Justifi- <br /> cation for the transfer was outlined in City Manager ' s report of March 19, 1971 . <br /> In response to Councilman Henderson ' s concern , City Manager noted that the <br /> Federal Government has a contractual obligation to pay the grant .
