MIS: SANFILIPO/STEINFELD TO INTRODUCE THE ORDINANCE <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE HEADING AND SECTIONS 38.5 AND 38.14 <br /> OF CHAPTER 38 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING <br /> TO WATER SERVICE CHARGES AND CAPITAL FACILITIES FEES <br /> APPROVED FOR FIRST READING BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 1. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. Councilman Greenalch asked staff to schedule the issue of amending the <br /> Redwood City No Smoking ordinance for a Council meeting in the near future. <br /> Councilman Greenalch discussed the letter from the Coalition of Airport <br /> Neighbors asking for support to have a San Mateo County resident become a <br /> member of the Airport Commission. Mayor Buchan advised she would refer that <br /> letter to the Council Legislative Committee. Councilman Greenalch referred <br /> to the letter from Carol Ford regarding an EIR for the proposed Hastings <br /> Condominiums, and Don Saye's letter regarding entry features. Mayor Buchan <br /> advised the City Attorney would respond to Mrs. Ford's letter, and staff <br /> advised the entry features program was scheduled for the first part of <br /> November. <br /> MEMO 9/14/93 <br /> B. Councilwoman La Berge expressed concern regarding the unattractive signs in <br /> windows in retail shops in the downtown area, and asked staff to enforce the <br /> existing sign ordinance with vigor. Councilwoman Steinfeld suggested <br /> sending notice to all retailers regarding the Redwood City sign ordinance <br /> and giving them a few days to respond before the City acts. <br /> MEMO 9/14/93 <br /> C. Councilman Greenalch asked that the weed abatement ordinance be enforced <br /> starting with the property located at the corner of Veterans and Walnut and <br /> any other property in a similar condition. <br /> MEMO 9/14/93 <br /> D.
