161 <br />REPORT OF BID OPENING, Hydraulic Sewer Cleaner, The following bids were received: <br />Hydra Dy-Namic Cleaners $15,486,54 <br />Prindle International 17,553.90 <br />Southwest Flexible 18,156,60 <br />Western Traction 18,191.25 <br />Pacific Pipe Tool 21,863,06 <br />Staff recommended award to the low bidder, Hydra Dy-Namic Cleaners, Sufficient funds <br />were budgeted, <br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6254 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING <br />OF ONE HYDRAULIC SEWER CLEANER, LATEST MODEL, seconded by Councilman Henderson, <br />Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0, 6255 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR INSTALLATION OF PIPE- <br />LINES FOR STORM DRAIN AND SEWER FORCE MAINS UNDER RAILROAD TRACKS IN VICINITY OF <br />INTERSECTION OF HARBOR BOULEVARD WITH BLOMQUIST ROAD, seconded by Councilman Henderson, <br />Director of Public Works responded to Council question by advising that the agreement <br />calls for completion within one year of the date of agreement, noting the earlier <br />action of Council in awarding the contract for Harbor Boulevard Improvements, It <br />was anticipated the work would be completed by August. Motion carried on roll call <br />vote, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent, <br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6256 OF INTENTION TO VACATE SPUR TRACK <br />EASEMENT, seconded by Councilman Petersen, <br />Staff report stated that by previous Council action, a railroad spur track easement <br />was abandoned through Lots 3 and 6, Block 5, Redwood Industrial Tract No, 2, being <br />both sides of Kliklok Way (formerly Mills Way), Land Development and Investment Co., <br />original developers of the Redwood Industrial Tract, requested that the spur track <br />easement through Lot 7 be abandoned, also. PG&E and PT&T had submitted written <br />approvals and Southern Pacific Company advised they had no further interest. Staff <br />recommended abandonment be approved, The Resolution sets public hearing for April 27, <br />Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent, <br />Application <br />by Leslie <br />Salt <br />Company, <br />requesting <br />a <br />contract with <br />the City <br />to <br />establish <br />Salt <br />Crystallizer Pond <br />off <br />Harbor Boulevard as <br />an <br />"Agricultural <br />Preserve". <br />Planning <br />Com- <br />mission had reviewed the application at meeting of February 17, 1970, and submitted <br />their recommendations in a report to Council, Copies of proposed resolutions pre- <br />pared in compliance with the Government Code, were also proveded to Council, <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6257 APPROVING AND ADOPTING RULES AND <br />REGULATIONS FOR ADMINISTRATION OF AGRICULTURAL PRESERVES WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, seconded by Councilman Petersen. <br />On question, Councilman Henderson suggested that the public hearing date be changed <br />from April 13 to April 27, to allow some information to be distributed to other taxing <br />agencies and permit their response prior to the public hearing, (Memo 4/8/70) <br />Mr. Coleman Johnson, President of Leslie Properties, indicated <br />that if it is the wish of Council to reset the hearing for <br />April 27, they would have no objection, He noted that legis- <br />lative procedures call for action prior to May 15, <br />
