169 Mayor Bury presented retiring Councilman John S. Rosselli with a plaque, on behalf of Council, inscribed with dates of service to the City (Councilman 1958-1970; Mayor 1964-1966 and 1966-1968), with expressions of appreciation for his long years of service to the community. Mr. Rosselli responded with congratulations to the incumbents on their re-election and to the new Councilman, and expressions of appreciation for having had the oppor- tunity to serve the City for twelve years. Motion that the Council adjourn sine die for the purpose of reorganization was made by Councilman Weymouth, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried, City Clerk administered the Oaths of Office and presented Certificates of Election to the newly elected members of the City Council: Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, and William C. Rhodes. The newly elected Council was called to order by the City Clerk, who then requested that Council enter nominations for election of Mayor, to preside for the next two years. Councilman Rhodes placed the name of Mayor Bury for re-election as Mayor, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried, Councilman Arnett moved that nominations be closed and unanimous ballot cast for re- election of Mayor Robert H„.Bury as Mayor, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried, Mayor Bury thanked the Council for again extending to him the opportunity to serve as Mayor, ON ROLL CALL for the newly seated Council, the following were noted present: Councilmen Dixon Arnett, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, William C. Rhodes, Ray A. Weymouth, and Mayor Robert H. Bury, Mayor Bury requested nominations for Vice -Mayor as first order of business. Council- man Arnett moved to nominate Councilman Paul C. Keckley, having demonstrated leader- ship throughout the County, as well as Bay Area, and in his service on Ordinance Review Committee and Regional Planning Committee, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried, Councilman Petersen moved to close the nominations and that a unani- mous ballot be cast for Councilman Keckley to serve as Vice -Mayor, seconded by Councilman Henderson, and carried. A five-minute recess was called at 8:00 P,M, by Mayor Bury prior to starting the regular Agenda. At 8:05 P,M., the Mayor called the meeting to order, and the newly elected Council members offered brief statements of appreciation for support of their con- stituents and indications of their hopes for the future of the community, Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6270 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR PREPARATION OF AN AREA -WIDE "TOPICS” PLAN AND STUDY REPORT, seconded by Councilman Henderson.
