202 <br />suggested delaying action for a couple of weeks. Councilman Weymouth noted <br />funds for water department portion came out of Utilities Fund and for the <br />street repairs out of Gas Tax Funds. City Manager added that Staff attempts <br />to schedule so as to have continuity in procurement. He recommended going <br />to bid and purchasing on "as needed" basis. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6291 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR ASPHALTIC EMULSIONS, CRUSHER RUN ROCK, ROCK SCREENINGS, FINE AGGREGATES, <br />ASPHALTIC CONCRETE, AND PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE <br />FISCAL YEAR 1970-71; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, <br />seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6292 GRANTING EXTENSION OF TIME <br />FOR COMPLETION OF REMOVING CERTAIN OVERHEAD UTILITIES IN UNDERGROUND UTILITY <br />DISTRICT NO. 69-1, seconded by Councilman Henderson. Council briefly <br />discussed the reason for the request of PG&E for the extension, which was <br />to have been completed under Ordinance No. 1435 establishing the District, <br />within 150 days (by May 10, 1970) after effective date of November 10, 1969. <br />There have been difficulties in getting the cooperation of property owners, <br />and the company is running behind on ability to remove utility poles, which <br />cannot be done until transition made from the present system to underground <br />lines. Follow-up is being made with property owners. Motion carried on <br />roll call vote. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 38.1 of the <br />Code defi-ning Water Service Areas, seconded by Councilman Arnett. The <br />ordinance would provide for inclusion of the recently acquired Friendly Acres <br />Water Company within Water Service Area A. Motion carried. <br />DAMAGE CLAIM of Jeanne Ledbetter, 1462 Gordon Street, #6, Redwood City, for <br />property damages alleged to have been caused by bus bench obstructing street <br />parking area, denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion of <br />Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. (MINUTE <br />ORDER #70-86) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 78116 to 78246, inclusive, totaling $273,751.52, approved <br />for payment on motion of Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Rhodes <br />and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Letter of resignation from Architectural Review Committee <br />and Urban Design Committee, dated May 1, 1970, from <br />William E.
