201 <br />Motion to set the matter of Master Plan - Community Park for public hearing <br />in three weeks lost on roll call vote, Councilmen Arnett, Keckley, Petersen, <br />Weymouth and Mayor Bury voting no; Councilmen Henderson and Rhodes voting yes. <br />Councilman Arnett moved that Council direct preparation of plans and specifications <br />for covering creek in Community Park, seconded by Councilman Petersen and <br />carried on roll call vote, Councilmen Arnett, Keckley, Petersen, Rhodes, <br />Weymouth and Mayor Bury voting yes; Councilman Henderson voting no. (MINUTE <br />ORDER #70-84) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to set informal public hearing on Master Plan - Community <br />Park for June 1, 1970, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. (MINUTE <br />ORDER #70-85) <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6288 TRANSFERRING SUM OF $2,450 <br />FROM APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITY, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS, TO APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL EXPENDITURES FOR WATER SERVICE ACTIVITY <br />OF SAID DEPARTMENT, TO PROVIDE FOR PURCHASE OF WATER METER TESTING BENCH, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley. <br />According to Staff report, the new water meter repair facilities in the <br />second phase of building, Municipal Services Center is nearing occupancy <br />by City personnel. The water meter testing bench would permit multiple <br />testing of units 5/8 and 3/4" through 2" diameter, both before and after <br />repairs. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6289 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR THE FURNISHING OF A WATER METER TEST BENCH; AND, AUTHORIZING CALL FOR <br />BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6290 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR FITTINGS, BRASS, AWWA, FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1970, THROUGH JUNE 305 1971; <br />AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman <br />Petersen, <br />The brass fittings were reported as being annual bid requirement, and quantities <br />requested were the same as previous year. Funds would be available in the <br />1970-71 budget. <br />Councilman <br />Henderson <br />questioned whether it was possible requirements may <br />not <br />come up to <br />estimates <br />and whether City should commit itself. City Manager <br />responded <br />that purchase is made on basis of requirement, and figures were anti-cipated needs <br />in the area of the 'Water Department to maintain the system. Councilman Henderson <br />
