01 <br />Continued discussion of Ci <br />Year 1970-1971, <br />and Disaster <br />ion Budget, Fiscal <br />Discussion had been continued from the meeting of January5th to permit further <br />review of the Budget proposed, and because of reluctance of Council to accept <br />provision for payment to members attending the organization's meetings, City <br />Manager stated that in view of Council's concern expressed at the previous meeting <br />regarding inclusion of payment of fees for attendance, he discussed the matter <br />with the Area Administrator, Mr. Hinchcliff, and expressed to him Council's <br />feeling that Redwood City's representative should not be paid for attendance, and <br />that the City was not interested in participating in that portion of the budget <br />providing payment for anyone. Mr. Hinchcliff stated this portion of the budget, <br />relating to Redwood City, as well as to Redwood City's contribution to other <br />members, would be eliminated from the budget. <br />Councilman Henderson stated her disapproval of the attendance fee provision <br />and moved to support the budget and to authorize Staff toinclude $1,787.92 minus <br />the cost item providing such payment in Redwood City Civil Defense Budget for <br />1970-1971, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-10) <br />Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6194 REQUESTING BOARD OF SUPER- <br />VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO PERMIT COUNTY CLERK TO RENDER SPECIFIED <br />SERVICES RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD APRIL <br />14, 1970, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. <br />The Resolution authorizes County Election Department to provide full clerical <br />services for the Municipal Election on April 14, 1970, The County has provided <br />their estimate of costs, which was presented to Council. Sufficient funds are <br />provided in the budget. Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilman Petersen <br />being noted absent. <br />ACCEPTANCE of Neighborhood Park No. 1, GID 1-64, <br />Project was completed and recommended for acceptance by DMJM and Park Superintendent, <br />subject to the usual guarantees. City Manager advised that Park and Recreation <br />Commission will be forwarding recommendations for naming of this first neighborhood <br />park. <br />Councilman Keekley moved to accept the project, subject to the usual one-year <br />guarantees of workmanship and materials, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER # 70-11) <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.107 ADDING SECTION 60.2.1 TO <br />ORDINANCE NO, 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE <br />VICINITY OF WHIPPLE AVENUE (FRONTING ON VETERANS BOULEVARD), seconded by Council- <br />man Keckley and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Petersen being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE N0, 1130.108, ADDING SECTION 60.20.2 TO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE <br />VICINITY OF REDWOOD PENINSULA, seconded by Councilman Arnett, and carried on <br />roll call vote, Councilman Henderson Voting no, and Councilman Petersen being <br />noted absent, <br />
