276 <br />noted request also concerns itself with the Citizens' Advisory Committee, <br />whose position, he felt, were aptly stated by the Planning Director at the <br />first public hearing, and all they could do is reiterate that position if <br />another hearing is to be set, <br />Mayor Bury restated Councilman Petersen's motion to remove the item from the <br />table for purpose of discussion, which carried on roll call vote, Councilmen <br />Petersen, Weymouth and Mayor Bury voting yes; Councilmen Henderson and Rhodes <br />voting no. Councilmen Arnett and Keckley noted absent. <br />City Attorney offered another alternative --to continue the matter on the <br />question of adoption of the ordinance, if presence of full Council is a <br />consideration in determining whether to reopen the hearing. <br />Councilman Henderson moved to rescind previous action, and to set public hearing <br />for July 6, 1970, seconded by Councilman Rhodes. Motion carried on roll call <br />vote, Councilman Henderson, Rhodes and Mayor Bury voting yes; and Councilmen <br />Petersen and Weymouth voting no. Councilmen Arnett and Keckley noted absent. <br />DAMAGE CLAIM of Fay F. Jones, 1040 Continental Drive, Menlo Park, for property <br />damages alleged to be due to faulty placement of telephone pole and lack of <br />City sidewalk curbing, denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion of <br />Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. (MINUTE <br />ORDER #70-112) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 78737 to 78833, inclusive, totaling $396,363.28, approved <br />for payment on motion of Councilman Henderson, seconded by Councilman Rhodes <br />and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Invitation from the students participating in the <br />Government Affairs Program to their Commencement <br />on June 12, Sequoia High School. (Copies provided <br />to Council) <br />Ray Lawrence, 500 Allerton Street, concerning conditions <br />at Municipal Marina where his boat is berthed, which he <br />feels are endangering his property. (Copies to Council) <br />Councilman Henderson moved to refer the matter to the Marina Committee, seconded <br />by Councilman Petersen and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-113) <br />City of San Mateo, Resolution No. 35, requesting <br />coastal area of San Mateo County subject to erosion <br />be declared disaster area. (Copies submitted to <br />Council.) <br />Town of Portola Valley Resolution 286-1970 endorsing <br />action of Council of Mayors opposing Bay Front Freeway. <br />(Copies submitted to Council) <br />
