277 <br />San Mateo County Council of Mayors, Charles R. Allen, <br />Secretary, of City of San Carlos, transmitting Resolution <br />5-70 of the Council of Mayors recommending construction of <br />State college in Redwood City at the earliest possible <br />time. (Copies submitted to Council) <br />COMMISSION, BOARD AND COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS <br />Planning Commission: Councilman Henderson nominated Walter R. Robinson, Jr., <br />E en Bower Lane, for appointment to Planning Commission, <br />Councilman Petersen nominated Martin Mohr for reappointment to the Planning <br />Commission, <br />Councilman Henderson moved to defer closing of nominations for the Architectural <br />Committee until the first meeting in July, 1970, (July 6th) seconded by <br />Councilman Petersen and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-114) <br />Mayor Bury commented on discussion concerning the Veterans Memorial Commission, <br />and that he had suggested to Mr. Peacock the possibility of reducing the member- <br />ship to three. <br />Library <br />Board <br />of <br />Trustees: Mayor Bury nominated Allan Semeit for appointment to <br />Library <br />Board <br />of <br />Trustees. <br />Councilman Petersen advised of a meeting on June 24 of the State Transportation <br />Committee, of which he is a member, and requested permission to attend. <br />Councilman Henderson moved to approve request, seconded by Councilman Weymouth <br />and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-115) <br />At the request of Mayor Bury, City Attorney briefly reviewed the outcome of the <br />hearing in matter of suit against State Water Resources Control Board, in <br />which City had proposed stipulation, agreed to by the other party, and approved <br />by the judge, that the matter be removed from the calendar with the right by <br />either party to request a new hearing. Stay order to remain in effect mean- <br />while to permit meetings to continue with possibility of bringing the matter <br />to conclusion. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilman Henderson <br />and carried.
