277 San Mateo County Council of Mayors, Charles R. Allen, Secretary, of City of San Carlos, transmitting Resolution 5-70 of the Council of Mayors recommending construction of State college in Redwood City at the earliest possible time. (Copies submitted to Council) COMMISSION, BOARD AND COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS Planning Commission: Councilman Henderson nominated Walter R. Robinson, Jr., E en Bower Lane, for appointment to Planning Commission, Councilman Petersen nominated Martin Mohr for reappointment to the Planning Commission, Councilman Henderson moved to defer closing of nominations for the Architectural Committee until the first meeting in July, 1970, (July 6th) seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-114) Mayor Bury commented on discussion concerning the Veterans Memorial Commission, and that he had suggested to Mr. Peacock the possibility of reducing the member- ship to three. Library Board of Trustees: Mayor Bury nominated Allan Semeit for appointment to Library Board of Trustees. Councilman Petersen advised of a meeting on June 24 of the State Transportation Committee, of which he is a member, and requested permission to attend. Councilman Henderson moved to approve request, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-115) At the request of Mayor Bury, City Attorney briefly reviewed the outcome of the hearing in matter of suit against State Water Resources Control Board, in which City had proposed stipulation, agreed to by the other party, and approved by the judge, that the matter be removed from the calendar with the right by either party to request a new hearing. Stay order to remain in effect mean- while to permit meetings to continue with possibility of bringing the matter to conclusion. Councilman Petersen moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:56 POM, MARIAN McCRINDLE, City Clerk
