278 <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />June 22, 1970 7:30 P,M. <br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Weymouth. <br />Invocation led by Monsignor Joseph D. Munier, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Dixon Arnett, Mary W. <br />Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, William C. Rhodes, Ray A. <br />Weymouth, Mayor Robert H. Bury, and City Clerk Marian McCrindle. Also <br />noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney David E. <br />Schricker, Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget, Police Chief John R. <br />McDonald, Jr., Fire Chief John Keller, Chief Building Official Charles <br />Gyselbrecht, Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, City Auditor - <br />Accountant Jack Ference, City Treasurer Harriet Drivon, Park Superintendent <br />Pasco Balzarini, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Fire Marshall George Asvos, <br />and Secretary Frances Ozzanto, <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to approve, as mailed, Minutes of Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of June 11, 1970; Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of June 13, 1970 <br />(subject to correction that Councilman Keckley seconded Councilman Weymouth's <br />motion to retain the Backhoe Loader in the budget ($20,000) in Account 468, <br />Equipment Replacement Services); Minutes of Executive Session of June 13, <br />1970, and Minutes of Regular Meeting of June 15, 1970 (amended to show <br />Councilmen Arnett and Keckley as being absent on each roll call vote), seconded <br />by Councilman Arnett and carried. <br />Councilman Henderson questioned the absence from the agenda of the resolution <br />approving plans and specifications and authorizing call for bids, Project W-5, <br />Water Mains, GID 2-65, and City Manager responded the question was a matter <br />of availability of funds for the project as designed. The project is being <br />reviewed by the Department of Public Works and Jenks and Adamson, and it was <br />anticipated by the Director of Public Works that the item could be brought <br />before Council on July 6, 1970, <br />Councilman Rhodes moved to place the matter on the agenda of July 6, 1970, <br />seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-116) <br />PUBLIC HEARING, Abatement of Nuisance, Frank's Tannery Property, Redwood City <br />(Assessor's Parcel 052-385-010), declared open and affidavit of posting <br />ordered <br />filed, Preliminary to <br />giving <br />formal testimony, <br />Chief Building <br />Official <br />was placed under oath <br />by the <br />City Clerk. It was noted additional <br />information had been received since submittal of Report to Council to the <br />
