290 <br />Councilman Arnett moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 32.75 of the <br />Code of the City of Redwood City relating to the Uniform Transient Occupancy <br />Tax, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Increase had been approved by Council <br />during Budget Meetings. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 20.127 of the <br />Code of the City of Redwood City relating to Parking Meter Fines, seconded <br />by Councilman Arnett. Council had approved in Budget Meetings increase <br />in overtime parking violation fee from $1.00 to $2.00. City Manager indicated a report would be <br />submitted. (Memo 6-25-70) Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Report and recommendation of Legislative Committee was presented by Councilman <br />Henderson, Chairman, of matters referred to the Committee by the Chief Building <br />Official and considered in their meeting of June 16, 1970, <br />1, Residential Housing Development. AB 46 would create California Residential <br />Building Board of Trustees, and prescribe its powers and duties including <br />advertisement and promotion for construction and improvement of residential <br />housing, and levying of assessments to finance the Board's activities. <br />Legislation if similar to that previously introduced in the Legislature and <br />opposed by the Committee. Committee recommended opposition to AB 46, as it <br />singles out a specific industry for preferential "sales promotion" treatment <br />and would also require local agencies to implement certain record keeping <br />and administrative practices on behalf of proposed agency. <br />
