294 <br />Redwood <br />City Municipal Code. Municipal <br />Code Corporation <br />had submitted <br />a proposal <br />for <br />updating a reorder recommended by <br />Staff. Contract <br />provides for <br />complete <br />reprint of the Code in standard type, update of editorial comments and 100 new <br />copies, as well as 25 new binders required for standardizing copies of the <br />Code now in use and to provide copies needed by key personnel. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6327 TRANSFERRING $5,500 FROM <br />APPROPRIATION FOR PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND OTHER SERVICES FOR ELECTIONS, TO <br />APPROPRIATION FOR PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND OTHER SERVICES FOR CITY CLERK, <br />seconded by Councilman Petersen. In the discussion, it was explained that <br />the reauested funds represent the difference between anticipated Municipal <br />Election costs and the actual cost, having transferred the election activity <br />to the County. At request of Council, City Clerk described some of the <br />problems which have developed in the current procedure, and indicated the <br />new contract would insure accurate, up-to-date Code. Motion carried on <br />roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6328 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR REPRINTING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />seconded by Councilman Arnett. It was expected the work would be accomplished <br />in sixty to ninety days. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE N0, 1457 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR JULY 1, 1970 - JUNE 305 1971; PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION AND <br />EXPENDITURE OF ALL SUMS SET FORTH IN SAID BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY <br />EXPENDITURES, TRANSFERS, ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS AND CANCELLATION OF <br />EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS; AND, REPEALING ORDINANCE N0, 1410, AS AMENDED, <br />AND ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, ADOPTING THE <br />BUDGETS FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS N0, 1-64, N0. 1-653 N0. 2-65, AND <br />NO, 3-65 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 11 1970 - JUNE 30, 1971, seconded by <br />Councilman Petersen. <br />Council questioned the effect on Gas Tax revenues of the preliminary population <br />figure (54,170) for Redwood City just submitted by the Bureau of the Census. <br />City Auditor -Accountant estimated this would result in approximately $10,000 <br />less in Reserves. Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilmen Keckley, <br />Petersen, Rhodes, Weymouth and Mayor Bury voting yes; and Councilmen Arnett <br />and Henderson voting no. <br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt ORDINANCE 1458 AMENDING SECTION 32.75 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE UNIFORM TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY <br />TAX, seconded by Councilman Keckley. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />
