<br />Mayor Bury asked that this be referredto the Legislative Committee. (Memo 6-25-70)
<br />Relative to the Veterans Memorial Commission, Mayor Bury indicated he would
<br />make a recommendation to Council, (Memo 6-25-70)
<br />Councilman Rhodes suggested that an Ordinance increasing water rates in accordance
<br />with the increase from San Francisco Water Department would be in order.
<br />Councilman Weymouth offered motion to adjourn to adjourned regular meeting June 29th,
<br />7:30 P,M „ Hall of Justice & Records, 401 Marshall Street, by adoption of RESOLUTION
<br />N0, 6325 COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF WILLIAM L. FAULSTICH, seconded by
<br />Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote.

<br />Invocation led by Monsignor Joseph D. Munier, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel,
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Dixon Arnett, Mary W.
<br />Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, William C. Rhodes, Ray A. Weymouth,
<br />Mayor Robert H. Bury, and City Clerk Marian McCrindle, Also noted present were
<br />City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, Deputy City Attorney Clark Maloney, Assistant
<br />City Manager Henry V. Burget, Police Chief John R. McDonald, Jr., Fire Chief
<br />John Keller, City Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference, City Treasurer Harriet Drivon
<br />and Secretary Frances Ozzanto,
<br />Counci.lman KecRley moved to approve, as mailed, Minutes of Regular Meeting of June 22,
<br />1970, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, subject to the following revision: "Councilman
<br />Rhodes noted the proposed budget was based on several assumptions, that the tax
<br />rate will not go down..." to be stated as, "...that the amount of sales tax will
<br />not go down." Motion carried.
<br />REPORT OF BID OPENING, Relocation of Harbor Master's Quarters. The following bids
<br />were received:
<br />James Marsh Co. $263112.70
<br />Iversen Construction Co. 28,279,70
<br />W. D. Nevis Construction Co. 315130026
<br />Engineer's Estimate $21,578.75
<br />Council Marina Committee had met on June 25, 1970, and their report was submitted
<br />_ to Council, in which recommendation of Committee and Staff was to reject all bids.
<br />Staff was to continue to study the problem with the objective of finding a
<br />better design, as well as a lower bid.
<br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6326 REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR
<br />THE RELOCATION OF THE HARBOR MASTER'S CONTROL OFFICE AT THE MUNICIPAL MARINA,
<br />seconded by Councilman Weymouth, and carried on roll call vote.
