292 <br />(2) Planning Commission <br />Ballots were taken, after which Councilman Weymouth moved to cast unanimous <br />ballot to reappoint Martin Mohr and James S. Williams, and appoint Fred <br />Soderer to the Planning Commission, seconded by Councilman Keckley and <br />carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-122) <br />Nominations for appointment to vacancies on the Architectural Committee and <br />Port Commission as follows: <br />Mayor Bury nominated Joe Tanouye for reappointment to 4 -year term on the <br />Architectural Committee. <br />Councilman Weymouth nominated Mitchell Webber for reappointment to 5 -year term <br />on the Port Commission. <br />Councilman Keckley nominated Dr. Robert G. Brown for reappointment to a 5 -year <br />term on the Port Commission. <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 78834 to 78967, inclusive, totaling $768,504.71, approved <br />for payment on motion of Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Weymouth <br />and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Delores Gay, 234 Marshall Street, (delivered during <br />Council meeting) concerning proposed opening on <br />Woodside Road between Kentucky and Maryland, objecting <br />to delay in consideration of the previous request, and <br />asking formal notice be sent to the State advising <br />matter under consideration by Council. (Copies to <br />be provided to Council) <br />City Manager advised that as had been indicated to Council previously, <br />recommendations regarding medians on Woodside are forthcoming. Concern was <br />expressed by Council, relative to saving trees which the State workmen are <br />apparently attempting to remove. It was indicated District Engineer had been <br />contacted three weeks earlier by the Police Chief, who was informed the <br />contractor would be contacted, however, it appeared this had not been done. <br />Public Works Director stated he would follow up. (Memo 6-25-70) <br />City of Signal Hill, California urging support of Senate <br />Bills 966 and 967, providing for termination of unproductive <br />oil leases which encumber surface rights of land and <br />prevent development. (Copies to Council) <br />City of South San Francisco, Resolution 5316 regarding <br />"Report to the Legislature on Proposed Noise Standards <br />for California Airports Pursuant to Public Utilities Code <br />Section 21669" (Copies submitted to Council) <br />San Mateo County Council of Mayors, Charles R. Allen, <br />Secretary, of City of San Carlos, transmitting resolution <br />of Council of Mayors regarding request for deletion of <br />proposed Bayfront Freeway from County Master Plan. (Copies <br />submitted to Council) <br />
