<br />Millbrae, Calif,) re application to US Coast Guard for the
<br />Cutter "Morris" due to be decommissioned in August, urging
<br />intercession by Council to aid in acquiring the ship for

<br />Councilman Arnett noted because of the deadline, action would be necessary
<br />before the next Council meeting, and moved to respond by letter to the
<br />Congressman, seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried, (MINUTE ORDER #70-143)
<br />Petition containing fourteen signatures from businessmen
<br />on Woodside Road, registering dissatisfaction with present
<br />plans for medians between Massachusetts and Sequoia, and
<br />lack of median at Belmont, and requesting meeting with

<br />City Manager recommended that the Traffic Committee be permitted to hold its
<br />own discussion, without outside participation, if it is their desire to
<br />reconsider the matter, After they have had opportunity to review, they could

<br />School, requesting resolution prior to July 23 of concern
<br />regarding Board of Supervisors' decision concerning
<br />Pescadero Dam,
<br />Mrs, Henry Mayer, Woodside, appeared with reference to this subject. Council
<br />policy relative to procedures on communications was explained to her, However,
<br />Mrs, Mayer urged consideration, since the decision on the Dam was to be made
<br />this week, She indicated that the group was being represented by a number of
<br />their students at various council meetings tonight, Mayor Bury noted that the
<br />hearing was on July 23, that there was not enough time to prepare and act on
<br />a resolution, and suggested that those Council members able to do so might
<br />attend the hearing,
