<br />5, Local Review of Legislative Matters, Because of concern of the Committee with
<br />apparent lack of systematic review by many cities of State legislation affecting
<br />local agencies, it was recommended that a letter be directed to the League of
<br />California Cities recommending that the League include as a subject for discussion
<br />at its next general session the need for local review of legislation, and methods
<br />of implementing such review.
<br />Councilman Rosselli suggested consideration of Assemblyman Britschgi's bill, and expressed
<br />his approval of the Foran recommendations.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved to accept the report of the Legislative Committee and implement
<br />recommendations, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Motion carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-64)
<br />Application by Leslie Salt Company requesting a contract with the City, to establish their
<br />Salt Crystallizer Pond off Harbor Boulevard as an "Agricultural Preserve", was requested
<br />by Councilman Henderson to be held in abeyance to permit time for Council to study the
<br />matter, She stated the California Land Conservation Act is important and that other
<br />government agencies would be affected also, Councilman Arnett concurred in the request,
<br />Councilman Henderson moved to place the matter on the agenda of April 6, and to reset
<br />the public hearing (for April 20, 1970). To her request for a copy of the conservation
<br />law, City Attorney offered the use of his law library to anyone on the Council who
<br />wished to avail himself of it, Motion seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried,

<br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.110 AMENDING SECTION 2,92 OF, AND
<br />ADDING SECTION 31.18 TO, ORDINANCE NO, 11303 THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, RELAT-
<br />ING TO SALVAGE OR WRECKING YARDS AND THE STORAGE OF SALVAGE MATERIALS, RESPECTIVELY,
<br />seconded by Councilman Arnett. Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilman Keckley
<br />being noted absent.
<br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.111 AMENDING SECTIONS 4.6, 5.6, 6.6,
<br />706, 8.6, 9.6, lo,6, 11.6, 12,6, 13.6, 14.63 15.6, 16.6, 17.6, 18.6, 19.6 AND 21.5 OF
<br />ORDINANCE NO, 1130, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO
<br />MINIMUM BUILDING SITE AREAS FOR DESIGNATED ZONING DISTRICTS, AND ADDING SECTION 32.11
<br />THERETO RELATING TO SUPPLEMENTARY LOT AREA REQUIREMENTS FOR SLOPING SITES, seconded
<br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Keckley being noted
<br />absent.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO, 1130.112 REPEALING SECTION 46,8 OF
<br />ORDINANCE NO, 1130, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AND AMENDING
<br />SECTIONS 23,4, 46.2, AND 46.10 OF SAID ORDINANCE, RELATING TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
<br />PERMITS, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote, Councilman
<br />Keckley being noted absent.
<br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 77201 to 77395, inclusive, totaling $61,394.48, were approved on
<br />motion of Councilman Arnett, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried.
<br />COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />Joseph J. Dematteis, 1520 Tacoma Way, tendering his resignation
<br />from the Port Commission effective April 14, 1970, citing the
<br />disclosure of assets law as it presently exists as his reason.
<br />City of Pacifica, enclosing their Resolution requesting the
<br />Governor to declare the San Mateo County Coastline a disaster
<br />area.
