M . <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilmen Dixon Arnett , Mary W . <br /> Henderson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , Ray A . Weymouth , Mayor Robert H . <br /> Bury , and City Clerk Helen C . Moore . Councilman John S . Rosselli was noted absent . <br /> Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ullrich , Assistant City Manager <br /> Henry V . Burget , and Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference . <br /> The City Manager reported that at the Council ' s direction he had discussed with the <br /> City Librarian the change of Library working hours . He stated that based on the <br /> 40 hour week our salaries compare favorably with those in other cities . <br /> Councilman Henderson reported that she had discussed the matter with the City Librarian <br /> and he feels the Staff should be expanded to offer additional library services to the <br /> "East Redwood City Area " as well as additional open time for Schaberg Library . After <br /> a thorough discussion of the alternatives , Councilman Henderson moved to amend the <br /> Library Service Budget by providing an additional $ 10 , 000 for extended services as <br /> recommended by the Librarian . There was no second to this motion . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to request a report from the Staff to the City Council on <br /> ways to expand the services for the "East Redwood City Area " , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth . City Manager pointed out that the Library Consultant who is presently <br /> studying library needs and services in the community will provide the answers to many <br /> of the questions being asked by the Council . Motion carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69 - 103 ) <br /> Councilman Henderson asked for further information on the Data Processing costs in <br /> the Budget . It was explained that there will be only one month of overlapping costs <br /> in this fiscal year . <br /> Mayor Bury reported on his conversation with the President of the Port Commission <br /> concerning a contribution from the Port to the City for services received .
