M . <br /> Mayor Bury announced that report to be made by newly created Cultural Commission had <br /> been erroneously indicated in the Tribune as an item for discussion at this meeting <br /> and that report would be scheduled for Council discussion shortly . <br /> Progress Report - Redwood Shores . <br /> City Manager advised monthly report would be made in two parts , with James Reiter , <br /> of DMJM, covering general summarization of development in the Redwood Shores project , <br /> and by Mr . Ribera , of Ribera &. Sue , presenting proposed landscaping and planning for <br /> Dolphin Mini Park and Marlin #1 Neighborhood Park , and a review of the revised plan- <br /> ning for Parkway fencing . <br /> Mr . Reiter reported the 21 working days in June had resulted <br /> in much construction activity , key items being commencing of <br /> Peninsula Parkway iiith completion scheduled in 100 days , or by <br /> November ; Bridgeway Bridge in the final design stages and call <br /> for bids scheduled in two weeks , cost of this bridge estimated <br /> at over a million dollars and scheduled for completion in 1970 , <br /> to comprise four lanes of traffic , 80 ' span across waterway , 22 ' <br /> height clearance for boats , and two walkways either side for ped - <br /> estrians ; all buidling sites available in Redwood Shores Unit <br /> „!1 Subdivision under construction with exceptionof 6 lots being <br /> retained temporarily for landscaping sold out of 138 of the <br /> Swartz units with all under construction , and 5 model homes hoped <br /> to be open in two weeks or less ; report of Leslie having completed <br /> sale of 62 lots in Dolphin Subdivision 11 and now negotiating for <br /> sale of additional 27 ; construction to start along waterway in <br /> Dolphin Subdivision #2 on 140 lots this month * <br /> He advised of the following reclamation work : Acceptance of <br /> dredging Exterior Waterways #1 project ; site preparation #6 re - <br /> ported to be about 300 complete and scheduled for completion by <br /> November ; primary fill #3 comprising essentially work in connect - <br /> ion with Dolphin Subdivisions land 2 and Marlin Subdivision sched - <br /> uled for completion in about ten days ; first houses in Steinberger <br /> area about 10o complete ; Diamond area dredging work extended some - <br /> what but nearly 75; complete ; Peninsula Parkway improvements com- <br /> menced and planting plan in progress but to be held while contractor <br /> proceeds further with underground work ; other items under design at <br /> present include storage of water facilities for Dolphin Subdivision ; <br /> Marlin Subdivision 7~~1 improvements out to bid and scheduled for <br /> opening July 8th , Marlin Subdvision #2 scheduled to be before Council <br /> on July 14th , for approval of plans and specifications and call for <br /> bids for improvements ; Neighborhood Park in Unit #1 about 50% com- <br /> plete , and many other miscellaneous small construction projects under <br /> way . <br /> In answer to question regarding a mport which was to have been made for compliance <br /> with Seismic Report recommendation for anchoring o±' hot water heaters and the <br /> further recommendation made by Staff concerning fire protection devices , City <br /> Manager advised Staff is continuing to review recommendations of Seismic Report <br /> and stated a report and recommendation would be made to Council in two weeks <br /> At 7 '69 <br />
