<br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to approvee Minutes of Regular Meeting of July i4 , 1969,
<br /> Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of July 16, 1969 and Minutes of Executive
<br /> Session of July 16 , 1969, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried .
<br /> Progress Report - CATV
<br /> A brief report was presented by Mr . William Schneider , Local Manager , substituting
<br /> for Mr . William Sinkunas , President , who was unable to attend the meeting . Mr .
<br /> Schneider displayed a map of the City indicating areas where installations have been
<br /> completed , covering 46 , 99 street miles out of a total of 127 , 65 . Work is progressing
<br /> toward the southeast portion of the City , which will be the last to receive the in-
<br /> stallation . He stated there are 1400 subscribers and 1 , 950 pending work orders where
<br /> service has been requested . They are confident of completing the installations by
<br /> the due date in November .
<br /> Council questioned method of hooking up due to variations in landscape , suggesting that
<br /> in the Farm Hill area it appeared work was being done on a hit or miss basis , and
<br /> Mr . Schneider explained that the procedure was to complete small sections at a time ,
<br /> rather than all at one time , It was noted by Councilman Henderson that published . .
<br /> listing of channels available for Redwood City and San Carlos differed from those in
<br /> Belmont . It was explained that the system in Belmont was completed before San Carlos
<br /> and Redwood City , and operates on a different set of cables , The College of San Mateo
<br /> station , which operates only in the evening, will be received in Redwood City, as it
<br /> presently is in Belmont .
<br /> In response to inquiry by Councilman Rosselli , as to when 20-channel operation will
<br /> become effective , Mr . Schneider stated this was in process at present , but firm is
