( MINUTE <br /> ORDER # 69 -196 ) <br /> Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6125 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY PRELIMINARILY DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST REQUIRES THE <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT IN A PORTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD -_ _ <br /> CITY AND CEPTAIN ADJACENT PORTIONS OF UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN <br /> MATEO ; DESIGNATING SAID DISTRICT AS UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO , 69--1 ; DES - <br /> CRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID DISTRICT ; PROVIDING FOR EXCEPTIONS TO THE REQUIRE- <br /> MENTS OF SAID DISTRICT ; AND STATING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS <br /> BY PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE FORMATION OF THE DISTRICT , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth . <br /> Staff reported Resolution requesting County of San Mateo to waive jurisdiction <br /> in the unincorporated area along Woodside Road is scheduled for the Board of <br /> Supervisors ' meeting of October 14th , but that since a mailed notice to each of <br /> the 172 property owners concerned with this action at least ten days prior to the <br /> public hearing is required under the enabling ordinance , this Resolution sets a <br /> public hearing for November 3 , 1969 . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Henderson and Petersen being noted <br /> absent . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce Ordinance appropriating $ 30 , 000 from unappropriated <br /> balance of Special Gas Tax Street Improvement Fund to provide for lighting and <br /> traffic control signals at designated intersections with Woodside Road ( State <br /> Highway 114 ) , seconded by Councilman Keckley . <br /> Report of Staff advised this appropriation will fund the City ' s share of costs for <br /> highway lighting and traffic control signals on the Woodside Road improvement <br /> at Hudson Street -Central Avenue and Nimitz Avenue -Valota Road ; noting this is a <br /> portion of the $ 452 , 200 contribution and additional costs agreed to be paid by the <br /> City toward the State ' s improvement of Woodside Road ( State Route 114 ) , $ 4220000 <br /> of the contribution being included as a part of the GID 1 -65 Storm Drain Bond Issue , <br /> and that the portions chargeable to Gas Tax Funds not being included in the <br /> 1969-70 Budget as cost information was not available prior to this time . Motion carried . <br /> Councilman Arnett moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 10 , 4 , repealing sections <br /> 10 , 9 and 10 . 13 and adding Sections 10 . 9 , 10 . 13 , 10 . 14 , 10 . 15 and 10 . 16 to Chapter <br /> 10 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, relating to Civil. Defense and Disaster , <br /> seconded by Councilman Keckley . <br /> City Manager ' s report explained the revisi_on6iroposed would delete citizen repre - <br /> sentation on the Civil Defense and Disaster Council , and as also noted by City --- <br /> Attorney , the revisions primarily aimed at areas of curfew to accomodate the cover- <br /> ing of civil commotion .
