246 <br /> After discussion as to preferences of Council members and suggested nominees , <br /> motion made by Councilman Rosselli to appoint Vice Mayor Petersen and Council- <br /> man Henderson to serve on the Nominating Committee , and Mayor Bury to serve <br /> on the Citizens Advisory Board , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #69-20 ) <br /> Mayor Bury suggested Council appointments to the seven Task Groups , with the <br /> exception that all Council members should be on the Community Appearance <br /> Group , After discussing this one exception , and need being indicated for an <br /> appointment as on the other Task Group committees , Mayor Bury was asked if <br /> he would accept this appointment , Mayor Bury stated his willingness to <br /> accept appointment to this Group but again urged participation in this part - <br /> icular group by entire Council . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to accept recommendation of Mayor Bury , seconded by <br /> Councilman Arnett , for appointment to the following Task Groups : <br /> Councilman Keckley , Residential Development Group <br /> Councilman Rosselli , Commercial Development Group <br /> Councilman Weymouth , Industrial Development Group <br /> Councilman Arnett , Parks and Recreational Group <br /> Councilman Henderson , Schools and College Group <br /> Vice-Mayor Petersen , Transportation Group <br /> Mayor Bury , Community Appearance Group <br /> Motion carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69-21 ) . <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF Marine World Parkway , Unit #1 , subject to the usual one year guar- <br /> antee of workmanship and materials , approved on motion of Councilman Arnett , <br /> seconded by Councilman Keckley , Staff reported project had been completed <br /> by Hood Corporation , and Staff and DMJM recommended acceptance . Motion <br /> carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69-22 ) , <br /> ACCOUNTS PAYABLE , Nos . 70143 to 70387 , inclusive , and No . 70402 , totaling $ 307 , 141 . 01 , <br /> approved on motion of Councilman Keckley , seconded by Councilman Arnett and <br /> carried . <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> John J . Murray , Jr . , Chairman of San Mateo County <br /> Regional Planning Committee enclosing a copy of a <br /> Resolution adopted by their group commending the <br /> high quality of leadership by Councilman Keckley <br /> ( copy of letter commendation and resolution sub- <br /> mitted to Council ) . <br /> Mayor Bury commented on this recognition as being most deserved by Councilman <br /> Keckley for his work on this Committee , which is appreciated by the whole com- <br /> munity . <br /> City of Daly City , with enclosure of their Council ' s <br /> Resolution requesting State legislation to provide <br /> for effective relief and tax reform for property <br /> owners and urging Council ' s consideration of a similar <br /> resolution ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> City of Indio , California , enclosing copy of a similar <br /> resolution as that of Daly City , and urging Council ' s <br /> adopting a resolution in support of such legislation <br /> ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> Mayor Bury asked that both of these communications be referred to the Legis - <br /> lative Committee for review ( Memo 1/28/69 ) . <br /> SAN 27 '69 <br />
