246 After discussion as to preferences of Council members and suggested nominees , motion made by Councilman Rosselli to appoint Vice Mayor Petersen and Council- man Henderson to serve on the Nominating Committee , and Mayor Bury to serve on the Citizens Advisory Board , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #69-20 ) Mayor Bury suggested Council appointments to the seven Task Groups , with the exception that all Council members should be on the Community Appearance Group , After discussing this one exception , and need being indicated for an appointment as on the other Task Group committees , Mayor Bury was asked if he would accept this appointment , Mayor Bury stated his willingness to accept appointment to this Group but again urged participation in this part - icular group by entire Council . Councilman Keckley moved to accept recommendation of Mayor Bury , seconded by Councilman Arnett , for appointment to the following Task Groups : Councilman Keckley , Residential Development Group Councilman Rosselli , Commercial Development Group Councilman Weymouth , Industrial Development Group Councilman Arnett , Parks and Recreational Group Councilman Henderson , Schools and College Group Vice-Mayor Petersen , Transportation Group Mayor Bury , Community Appearance Group Motion carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69-21 ) . ACCEPTANCE OF Marine World Parkway , Unit #1 , subject to the usual one year guar- antee of workmanship and materials , approved on motion of Councilman Arnett , seconded by Councilman Keckley , Staff reported project had been completed by Hood Corporation , and Staff and DMJM recommended acceptance . Motion carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69-22 ) , ACCOUNTS PAYABLE , Nos . 70143 to 70387 , inclusive , and No . 70402 , totaling $ 307 , 141 . 01 , approved on motion of Councilman Keckley , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . COMMUNICATIONS : John J . Murray , Jr . , Chairman of San Mateo County Regional Planning Committee enclosing a copy of a Resolution adopted by their group commending the high quality of leadership by Councilman Keckley ( copy of letter commendation and resolution sub- mitted to Council ) . Mayor Bury commented on this recognition as being most deserved by Councilman Keckley for his work on this Committee , which is appreciated by the whole com- munity . City of Daly City , with enclosure of their Council ' s Resolution requesting State legislation to provide for effective relief and tax reform for property owners and urging Council ' s consideration of a similar resolution ( copy submitted to Council ) . City of Indio , California , enclosing copy of a similar resolution as that of Daly City , and urging Council ' s adopting a resolution in support of such legislation ( copy submitted to Council ) . Mayor Bury asked that both of these communications be referred to the Legis - lative Committee for review ( Memo 1/28/69 ) . SAN 27 '69
