49 (3 Committee of one to recommend to Council the formation of various committees aria commission to implement the recommendation of the Centennial Committee , one of which was the creation of a Cultural Commission . Council was reminded that Robert Buickerood had been selected. as Chairman of the Steering Committee for formation i of the Cultural Commission and that Council was now being asked to ratify member- shipof persons who had been proposed so that the Steering Committee may proceed with drawing up of the objectives and goals of the Cultural Commission . Names proposed were as follows : John W . Krueger , Chairman Fine Arts Division , Canada College Glenn A . Smith , Industrial Design , Ampex Ken Ortega, Student , Canada College Fernando Vega , Redwood City School District Board David Harris , Commercial Artist , Redwood City Tribune George Dragon , Vice Principal , Sequoia High School Robert Buickerood , Chairman of the Committee Councilman Keckle:Y moved to ratify membership as ubmitted , seconded by Councilman Arnett . Councilman 'oscelli suggested that Redwood Shores residents also be considered for this Commission . Mayor Bury noted this particular Commission to be more concerned with the arts than related to geographic City areas . Motion carried . ( MINUTE ORDER #69-205 ) Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6137 CONSENTING TO REVOCABLE WAIVER OF INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS PURSUANT TO LEASE WITH POLICE YOUTH CLUB OF REDWOOD CITY , CALIFORNIA , INC . , seconded by Councilman Arnett . Staff reported current lease with Police Youth Club requires Club to furnish Comprehensive Li_ n.bility Insurance with City as an additional named insured but that Staff recommends waiver of insurance because city furnishes supervision and contributes major portion of supplies to Club operations and this would permit C i_tyr to be the prime insured with Police youth Club Poard of Directors as add i. t i_onal named insured which will strengthen the coverage at considerably less cost than requiring Club to furnish the insurance . Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman Henderson being noted absent .
