3 0 <br /> City Attorney advised Council of having received a request from the League of <br /> California Cities for our participation by joining in an "amicus curiae " brief <br /> relating to a decision handed down recently by the District Court of Appeal on <br /> the application of a prevailing wage to certain public employees on a State -wide <br /> basis . He stated there might be a fee involved but would not anticipate it to <br /> be more than $500 . Councilman Henderson moved to support request of City Attorney <br /> and the funding , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69-69 ) . <br /> Mayor Bury reported communication he had received from the Air Force ROTC Cadets <br /> at San Francisco State College would be duplicated and sent to each member of the <br /> Council . <br /> Mayor Bury also noted communication he had received from the local Elks Club <br /> asking Council to proclaim week of May 9 as Youth Week and proposing a downtown <br /> parade on Sunday , May 1 . , which he had referredto Staff for review . <br /> Mayor Bury also noted first anniversary of City ' s Municipal Transit System com- <br /> mencing this month and of the proclamation prepared for publicity for the week of <br /> April 20th as "Redwood City Municipal Transit System Week " and urged all to join <br /> in the festivities planned . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adjourn by adoption of RESOLUTION NO . 5961 COMMEMORATING <br /> THE MEMORY OF LT . COLONEL EDWIN P . In answer to question as to whether there would be <br /> extra costs other than under the Joint Agreement , City Manager requested brief <br /> rt 2n <br />
