2 <br /> to correct sewer blockage , denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion <br /> of Councilman Petersen , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried ( MINUTE <br /> ORDER #69 -7-A , B , and C ) <br /> Temporary Oxidation Ponding System . City Manager reported on notice of require - <br /> ment of the Regional Water Quality Control Board which was received during <br /> the period when Council was not in session , and it was necessary to place the <br /> item on Agenda as an Addendum . <br /> Report from consulting engineers , Jenks &I Adamson , establishes a schedule <br /> for phasing out Oxidation Ponds serving the Redwood Shores . In order to <br /> comply with requirements of Regional Water Quality Control Board Resolution <br /> 801 , copy of the schedule will be furnished . According to the schedule , <br /> construction of settling tank will be completed and in operation by the time <br /> Oxidation Ponds reach maximum capacity about March 1 , 19670 . By October 1970 , <br /> outfall line will be completed and by December will have connected to San <br /> Carlos outfall line and abandoned temporary outfall line . The requirement <br /> of the Regional Water Quality Control Board calls for approval of Council . <br /> Councilman Arnett moved to accept report and set schedule as recommended , <br /> seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69-8 ) <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> Letter of resignation from Ann Gooding , as Member of <br /> the Park and Recreation Commission . <br /> Councilman Arnett suggested addressing a note of appreciation to Mrs . Gooding <br /> for her contribution of time and effort on the Commission . The resignation <br /> was accepted with regrets , and a Certificate of Distinguished Service will <br /> be prepared for presentation , <br /> Letter from Mary B . Fryhling commending the personnel <br /> of the Police Department and recommending pay increases <br /> for them . <br /> Letter and resolution from City of Marysville pertaining <br /> to desire to initiate new legislation to amend inequities <br /> in State laws regarding real property taxes . <br /> City Attorney publicly introduced his new Assistant City Attorney , Mr . James <br /> Thomas , who has joined the City Staff effective January 6 , 1969 , <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adjourn , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 : 40P .
