Civic Cultural Commission Page 3 <br /> Minutes of January 3, 2002 <br /> Kushin - attended a children's concert at Canada College and performance of <br /> "The Nutcracker" with granddaughter <br /> Britschgi - attended "The Nutcracker" with Commissioner Ball, <br /> grandchildren's Christmas concerts, and several movies <br /> Soultanian - made hand-made paper and boxes as gifts <br /> Dale - attended several cultural events and sites while at a conference in <br /> New Orleans; also attended a performance of the Preservation Jazz Hall Band <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Director Centeno reminded everyone that several of the Commissioners <br /> have terms which end in May 2002 and encouraged the Commissioners to <br /> help recruit potential applicants. <br /> -Director Centeno announced the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Festival <br /> event to be held on Monday, January 21 from 2:00-5:OOpm at the Veterans <br /> Memorial Senior Center. <br /> Items for February meeting: Strategic Plan, Art Center status/support; <br /> reception for Ledesma art work on February 21 <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 9:10pm to be reconvened at 7:00pm on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at the <br /> Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
