Carmel <br /> The Commissioners took a recess at 7:20pm and reconvened at 7:50pm. <br /> ITEM 2 — GRANT REQUESTS <br /> -Redwood City School District Instrumental Music <br /> Roxanne Dragan of the Redwood City School District, spoke on behalf of their <br /> grant request for $969.00 which would help support their annual <br /> Instrumental Music Festival at Canada College. She explained that 4 buses <br /> are needed to transport 5th to 8th grade students from 12 schools to Canada <br /> College for two rehearsals. Carol McNamara of the School District explained <br /> the instrumental music festival began prior to 1969 and is a culmination of a <br /> year of study for the music students. Each school is donating $100.00 <br /> towards the transportation of their students. Canada College is renting their <br /> facility to the District at a reduced rate of $1,700. <br />
