Commissioner Britschgi announced an art exhibit at the Redwood <br /> City Art Center on Thursday, May 9 from 5:00-7:OOpm featuring students' art <br /> work from the Commission's Art Contest and the Loma Prieta District of the <br /> California Federation of Women's Club contest. <br /> ITEM 4 —EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD OVER THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> The Commissioners attended the following events during the past 30 days: <br /> Kushin - Redwood Symphony, performance of Heidi Chronicles by local <br /> performance group, Exploratorium, exhibit at Legion of Honor <br /> Douglas - traveled to Washington, D.C. and attended event on Presidential <br /> yacht on the Potomac River <br /> Britschgi - ballet at Davies Hall, Lyric Opera at Fox Theater, "Cinderbella" in <br /> Orinda in which her grandson performed <br /> Ball - Lyric Opera at Fox Theater, granddaughter's performance in school <br /> talent show and upcoming choral performance at Jewish Center this weekend <br /> Dale - Lyric Opera, Cinco de Mayo event, Holocaust survivors program at <br /> Historical Museum <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Commissioner Del Carlo announced she will not be re-applying for <br /> appointment to the Commission because she is going back to school to get <br /> her Master's. <br /> Items for June meeting: Large Grant Requests <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 9:22pm to be reconvened at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at the <br /> Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
