Civic Cultural Commission Page 5 <br /> Minutes of August 1, 2002 <br /> -Public Art <br /> Commissioner Britschgi announced the sub-committee will be meeting to <br /> discuss the proposed public art ordinance. <br /> -Select Commission Liaison to ArtShare <br /> Commissioner Kushin volunteered to be the Commission liaison to ArtShare <br /> and Commissioner Britschgi will be the alternate. <br /> ITEM 3 -EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD OVER THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> The Commissioners attended the following events during the past 30 days: <br /> Del Carlo - summer concerts, museum in Charleston, South Carolina <br /> Britschgi - summer concerts, Historical Museum, Lake Tahoe <br /> Kushin - visited several Scandinavian cities, Hermitage, ballet in St. <br /> Petersburg, Oslo sculpture garden, play in New York City <br /> Douglas - summer concerts <br /> Del Carlo - summer concerts <br /> Ball - Guys & Dolls at Dean Lesher Center, opera in downtown Walnut Creek <br /> Dale - summer concerts; noted that tables are now available at downtown <br /> concerts for people bringing in their own food <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Commissioner Ball announced she has sold her home in Redwood City and <br /> has purchased a condominium in Walnut Creek. She will be leaving Redwood <br /> City on September 1. <br /> Items for September meeting: Small Grants, Public Art, Summer Concerts, <br /> Friends of the Civic Cultural Commission <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned in honor <br /> of Commissioners Virginia Ball and Danielle Del Carlo at 9:28pm to be <br /> reconvened at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br />
