He does <br /> not want the seniors to be pitted against children, but feels that the <br /> costs facing seniors on fixed incomes of Social Security and SSI are <br /> becoming prohibitive. He asked that the Commissioners go to their <br /> respective groups to get ideas about what they perceive as real needs of <br /> seniors and to make a list of things people are experiencing, and costs <br /> that people incur that are really affecting them (e.g. prescription drugs, <br /> medicare, etc.). A list of questions will be prepared that the <br /> Commissioners could ask.
