ITEM 2 - TRANSPORTATION <br /> Chairperson Anthony read a report that will be presented on behalf of TRIPS <br /> to the SamTrans Board on March 25. The report states that "Healthride", a <br /> a three month pilot transportation program, will be in effect from March 2 <br /> through May 31. Healthride will provide transportation to individuals <br /> living in zip codes 94301, 94302, 94303, 94304, 94305, 94025, 94026, 94027 <br /> and 94028 for scheduled doctor's appointments when no other transportation <br /> is available. <br /> Chairperson Anthony announced that an Accessibility Service Department has <br /> been formed by SamTrans to deal with ADA issues. There will be a <br /> presentation by SamTrans at the Fun After Fifty meeting on May 12 at <br /> 11:00am which will provide information about the plans that SamTrans has <br /> submitted to deal with ADA. Members of the ParaTransit Coordinating <br /> Council will be there as well as Eldon Luce of the Center for the <br /> Independence of the Disabled. <br /> ROUNDTABLE <br /> -Chairperson Anthony mentioned the Human Race will be held on May 9 and he <br /> is looking for pledges to be donated to RSVP. <br /> -Superintendent Hartman reported on the March 3 minutes of the 504 <br /> Committee. Several of the comments in the minutes related to the Veterans <br /> Senior Center. <br /> -Items for May 13 agenda: <br /> -Vital Concerns of Seniors <br /> -Transportation <br /> -Mary Pappas of Hi-Cap <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:30am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, May 13, 1992 at the <br /> Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br />
