Commissioner Jordan suggested having various speakers come to the <br /> Commission to speak about this subject during 1994. Suggested speakers <br /> were the City's Director of Human Resources, AARP and various hospitals in <br /> the area. The Commissioners were interested in determining what are the <br /> issues of seniors regarding this health care package and their need for a <br /> clear understanding of the proposed program. Some of their concerns were <br /> long term care, quality of service and cost of the program. TEWCI <br /> Chairperson Dr. Roger Willey said he practiced medicine for 38 years in San <br /> Mateo County and noted the current health care system is not good and there <br /> needs to be a better system.
