ITEM 4- SUMMARY ON CHAS RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Chairperson Anthony said the City Council approved 15 of the 20 CHAS <br /> recommendations made in the report and that the City Council will study the <br /> remaining five recommendations. He gave a brief overview of the <br /> recommendations for the Commissioners and said he would review more <br /> next meeting. <br /> ITEM 5-FOLLOW UP ON AGING CLASSES AT SAN JOSE STATE <br /> Supervisor Kucala noted that the Commission received a letter a few months <br /> ago asking for the Commission's support because some classes on aging were <br /> going to be dropped from the Sociology curriculum at San Jose State <br /> University. She said she contacted San Jose State and was advised that the <br /> classes were not dropped and are still being offered to students so no letter of <br /> support is necessary. <br /> ITEM 6- SENIOR NETWORK <br /> Chairperson Anthony reported that he and Commissioners Berglund and <br /> Lloyd have attended monthly meetings held with representatives from other <br /> senior centers located within San Mateo County. The meetings are organized <br /> by Clara Crook and each representative reports on what their center is doing. <br /> He said the information provided by each center is very interesting and he <br /> will continue to attend and report back to the Commission. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:55am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, March 9, 194 to be held at <br /> the Fair Oaks Senior Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br />
