Chairperson Anthony reviewed copies of several documents which explained <br /> the history of the PCC and how paratransit programs are funded. He will <br /> keep these copies for future reference. <br /> Supervisor Griffith suggested doing a transportation needs assessment survey <br /> of the senior population. Superintendent Hartman suggested designating <br /> two Commissioners to form a committee to develop the transportation <br /> survey. Chairperson Anthony, Commissioners Lloyd and Newell, <br /> Supervisor Griffith and Superintendent Hartman will meet to develop the <br /> survey and will report back to the Commission at our February meeting. <br /> Supervisor Griffith suggested having knowledgeable speakers address the <br /> Senior Advisory Council regarding transportation issues. <br /> ITEM 6-COMMISSION WORKPLAN FOR 1995 <br /> The Commissioners reviewed the list of proposed 1995 workplan items <br /> which were listed in the November minutes. The main issues they decided <br /> to focus on were transportation and housing. Transportation issues included <br /> the driver liability issue (seniors driving seniors). Housing issues included <br /> addressing the need for additional senior housing in Redwood City and <br /> obtaining information on the new senior housing project in San Carlos. A <br /> spokesperson from the City of San Carlos will come to speak at our January or <br /> February meeting. Chairperson Anthony wanted to investigate the parcel of <br /> land at the corner of Madison Avenue and St. Francis Street as a possible site <br /> for senior housing facility. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:45am to be reconvened at 9:00am at Wednesday, January 11, 1995 to be held <br /> at the Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br />
