ITEM 4-FUNDING LETTER&MEETING FOR RED MORTON CENTER <br /> FUND RAISING <br /> Superintendent Hartman announced the Park and Recreation Commission is <br /> spearheading a fund raising effort for the new Red Morton Center and will be <br /> holding a public meeting on Tuesday,January 31, 1995 at 7:30pm at the Library <br /> Community Room. Each Commissioner received a letter of invitation for <br /> the meeting from Park and Recreation Chairperson Susan Swope. <br /> ITEM 5-APPLICATION FOR SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> APPOINTMENT <br /> Superintendent Hartman announced applications are being accepted for the <br /> vacancy on the Commission. Interviews will be held with the City Council at <br /> 7:00pm on February 6, 1995. <br /> MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST/ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Chairperson Lloyd mentioned he will be attending a meeting on elder abuse <br /> on January 19 with Bay Area police departments and suggested this as a <br /> matter for a future agenda. Supervisor Griffiths mentioned she knows a well <br /> known speaker on this subject who might be able to speak to the <br /> Commission. It was noted that San Mateo County has the TIES Program <br /> which has education videos available on this subject. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission adjourned at 10:45am <br /> to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, February 8, 1995 to be held at the <br /> Fair Oaks Community Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
