The Commissioners agreed with her
suggestion. Commissioner Walsh mentioned there is a photography
organization at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center Commissioner Moran
may want to contact.
-Commissioner Capone said she spoke at the City Council meeting recently
regarding an article which appeared in the Redwood City Tribune. The article
mentioned special colored stickers which were given out to seniors and
disabled persons by the Police Department. The article was not clear about
where the stickers would be used and Commissioner Capone wanted to make
sure they would not be placed in the windows of a person's home which
might make them a target. She spoke to Police Officer Jim Souza regarding
this program and he indicated these stickers would go on the inside of a
person's mailbox to alert the postman of a possible problem.
The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at
11:45am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, August 9, 1995 at the
Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California.
