Senior Affairs Commission Page 4 <br /> Minutes of Thursday, May 8, 1997 <br /> -Commissioner Walsh announced that SCORPA meetings are held on the <br /> 4th Wednesday of each month; this month will feature a San Mateo County <br /> health advisor as their guest speaker. <br /> -Chairperson Walsh asked the Commissioners if they would consider <br /> skipping a meeting during the summer months. It was decided to consider <br /> this request when the Commission establishes its yearly goals. <br /> -Commissioner Moran announced that 300 children visited historic spots in <br /> the downtown area last week, including Lathrop House. Next week another <br /> 300 children will also visit. Burger King is providing free lunch for both <br /> groups of children. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 4:37pm to be reconvened at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 12, 1997 at the Fair <br /> Oaks Senior Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br />
