WALSH <br /> Chairperson Walsh reported that he wrote to both Sequoia Medical and <br /> Aetna regarding Sequoia Medical Group dropping Aetna Senior <br /> Insurance coverage. He stated that he met with Dr. Block of Sequoia <br /> Medical on Monday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. but there has been no <br /> response to the letter sent to Aetna's President at their Connecticut <br /> office. He noted that he had included two senior Sequoia Medical <br /> Clinic patrons in the meeting with Dr. Block. <br /> Commissioner M. Walsh expressed her concern on the impact on <br /> seniors and noted that in Aetna meetings there still appears to be <br /> some hope for settlement. <br /> Chairperson Walsh spoke regarding the potential influence of the <br /> federal medicare agency on any decision and the negative impact on <br /> local seniors. <br /> M/S - M. Walsh/Borgens to write a letter to Council requesting time on <br /> the agenda to bring this issue to their attention. Motion unanimously <br /> approved. <br /> ITEM 2, WORK PLAN UPDATES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> LUNCHEONS, J. HARRISON/L. WALSH <br /> Chairperson Walsh reported that the next Economic Development <br /> Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m. at <br /> Sneakers.
