Senior Affairs Commission Page 3 <br /> Minutes of Thursday, January 14, 1999 <br /> -Economic Development Luncheons <br /> The Commissioners agreed to continue the luncheons and discussed sites for <br /> the next event. They discussed dates, locations and possible speakers for <br /> the luncheon. The sub-committee will meet to develop the details. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Chairperson Moran asked the Commissioners if the meeting time, date and <br /> location was convenient for everyone. Superintendent Centeno would have <br /> to check on availability of the Senior Center if a change is suggested; this <br /> item will be placed on February agenda. <br /> -Superintendent Centeno advised the Commissioners they would be receiving <br /> their Form 700 from the City Clerk's Office; please return to City Clerk <br /> before the deadline to avoid penalties. <br /> -A memo was received from Finance Director Brian Ponty inviting the <br /> Commission to a public meeting regarding a proposed rate increase in BFI <br /> rates. The meeting will be held on January 27 at 4:00pm at City Hall. <br /> -The Commissioners were also invited to attend a performance measurement <br /> citizen workshop on Saturday, January 23 from 1 :00-5:OOpm at the <br /> Sandpiper Community Center. Please RSVP to Cherise Moore at 780-7303 <br /> by January 18 if you will be attending. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 11 :00am to be reconvened at 9:30am on Thursday, February 11, 1999 at <br /> the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
