Senior Affairs Commission Page 3 <br /> Minutes of Thursday, March 11, 1999 <br /> -Outreach, Public Awareness <br /> Commissioner M.Walsh handed out pamphlets from the Community Action <br /> Agency of San Mateo County; this agency can provide no cost repairs to <br /> senior homes. <br /> The Commissioners complimented Commissioner Nobles on her recent article <br /> in the Redwood City Almanac regarding elder abuse. Commissioner Nobles <br /> mentioned she spoke with the Independent about a future article on the same <br /> topic in their publication. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Secretary Monroe reminded the Commissioners that their Form 700 is due <br /> to the City Clerk by April 1 , 1999. <br /> -A fundraising dinner will be held at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center on <br /> March 18; cost is $10.00 per ticket and the dinner will be salmon. <br /> -Commissioner L.Walsh announced he became a grandfather of two <br /> granddaughters born just four days apart. He also noted the Prime Minister <br /> of Ireland will be speaking at the Irish Cultural Center this week. <br /> Items for the April meeting: Executive Summary of needs assessment from <br /> Catholic Health Care West; schedule a meeting at Woodside Terrace; <br /> pedestrian crossing issue. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 2:07pm to be reconvened at 1 :00pm on Thursday, April 8, 1999 at the <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
