Senior Affairs Commission Page 4 <br /> Minutes of Thursday, February 10, 2000 <br /> Chairperson Moran invited all Casa de Redwood residents to come to the <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center for activities and noted that the <br /> Commission will look into bus transportation options to the Center. She <br /> thanked all residents for coming to today's meeting. <br /> ITEM 5 — DISCUSSION ON POSSIBLE CANCELLATION OF MARCH MEETING <br /> M/S Borgens/M.Walsh: To cancel the March Commission meeting. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> The April meeting will be held at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Commissioner Nobles mentioned that Commissioner Carpe is recovering <br /> from her surgery. She noted that Commissioner Carpe is looking for housing <br /> for a woman who can perform housework and cooking in exchange for rent. <br /> -The Commissioners noted that BFI is requesting a 8.9% increase in garbage <br /> rates. A meeting concerning this matter is being held at City Hall on <br /> Thursday, February 24 at 6:00pm. <br /> -Ginny Hughes thanked the Commission for holding their meeting at Casa de <br /> Redwood. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 2:30pm to be reconvened at 1 :00pm on Thursday, April 13, 2000 at <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
