Senior Affairs Commission Page 4 <br /> Minutes of Thursday,March 8,2001 <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Manager Griffith reported on the status of the food distribution program at <br /> the Senior Center. She explained that staff identified health issues and <br /> potential health risks due to the way the food was being handled in the <br /> program. A volunteer task force was formed to look at the program and <br /> hopefully, a new program will be developed as a result. Staff reported that <br /> they have noticed a more positive atmosphere at the Senior Center since the <br /> food distribution program has been suspended. <br /> -Manager Griffith announced the Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, March <br /> 10 at 1:00pm and the Womens History Program will follow at 3:30pm. <br /> -Council Member Pierce announced the Redwood City Education Foundation <br /> fundraiser"Juke Box Friday Night" on Friday, March 30 at Foresters Hall. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 3:02pm to be reconvened at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at the <br /> Sandpiper Community Center, 797 Redwood Shores Parkway, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
