Many more holiday events are planned. <br /> -Special Projects or Programs <br /> Manager Griffith is preparing a letter of intent for the grant proposal for <br /> funds from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to support the community <br /> outreach for older adults. Peninsula Volunteers, VMSC Advisory Council and <br /> Redwood City are the three organizations initiating the project. Other groups <br /> will also be involved in the collaborative efforts. <br /> -Senior Services <br /> Manager Griffith distributed the current Senior Services Newsflash with new <br /> items and pointed out the caregiver-training program and transportation <br /> meeting on October 1, 2001. <br /> -Intergenerational <br /> No report this month. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> There were no announcements. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at 3:05 <br /> p.m. to be reconvened at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
