Senior Affairs Commission Page 5 <br /> Minutes of Thursday,March 14,2002 <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Manager Griffith displayed four large laminated signs which announce the <br /> Commission meeting location and time. The signs will be on display in the <br /> Center to let people know about the meeting. She noted that the signs were <br /> paid for by the Advisory Council. <br /> -Recreation Supervisor Yelena Devyatova thanked Commissioners Grove and <br /> M. Walsh for attending the Valentine's Dinner Dance. She also mentioned <br /> the First Saturday Program on March 2 featuring a guest speaker from <br /> Stanford University was well attended and she is working on planning more <br /> First Saturday Programs. Supervisor Devyatova announced that the Senior <br /> Center Choir is available to perform at the Fair Oaks Senior Center. <br /> -Commissioner Grove commended staff for a wonderful Women's History <br /> program on Saturday, March 9. <br /> -Commissioner L. Walsh asked for suggestions for guest speakers for the <br /> luncheon program and several people were mentioned as possible speakers. <br /> -The Commissioners were given blank Board and Commission applications. <br /> Deadline for turning in the applications is April 30, 2002. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 2:30pm to be reconvened at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Fair <br /> Oaks Senior Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br />
