Senior Affairs Commission Page 5 <br /> Minutes of Thursday,April 11,2002 <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> - Commissioners M. Walsh and Borgens did not attend senior club meetings <br /> to discuss food safety issues during the last month as planned but will do so <br /> in the near future. <br /> -Commissioner Moran thanked everyone for their kindness announced that <br /> Spring Cleanup Day is Saturday, May 11, 2002. Breakfast will be offered <br /> 8:00-8:30 a.m. at Public Works. This year's target area is Woodside Road. <br /> Lunch will be provided. <br /> -Manager Griffith reminded everyone that Saturday, May 11, 2002 is also the <br /> day of the Human Race at Coyote Point. <br /> -Commissioner Borgens announced that this was her last meeting as a Senior <br /> Affairs Commissioner due to a change of travel plans. She expressed her <br /> thanks for the opportunity to serve on the commission and the enjoyment of <br /> it. She vowed to continue her support of the issues. <br /> -Commissioner Grove was joined by the other Commissioners in thanking <br /> Commissioner Borgens for all of her hard work. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at 2:45 <br /> p.m. to be reconvened at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at the Veterans <br /> Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br />
