The purpose of the resolution format is to ease conflicting
messages, focus on mission of the work and reinforce effective collaboration practices.
The resolution outline is:
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT PROCESS
Step 9 : Direct problem solving between involved parties
When Community School services staff members recognize that an interpersonal conflict exists,
they should take steps to address the concern directly with the other person/persons involved
and try to work out a mutually acceptable resolution. If the attempt to work directly with the other
person does not result in a satisfactory resolution, the following steps are recommended.
Step 2: Staff member problem solving process with school
Staff members should bring all issues of concern to the attention of the Community School
Coordinator for initial discussion and problem solving. Community School Coordinators, as
representatives of the school, should notify Agency Supervisor of the existence of these issues
of concern and steps being taken to resolve them. Community School Coordinators will take a
lead in communicating with staff members and Agency Supervisors to problem-solve the
situation. Community School Coordinators together with staff members and Agency
Supervisors, as needed, will determine next steps.
Step 3: Involvement of agency Directors
If the previous steps do not result in the resolution of concerns, staff members have the right to
bring issues to their Agency supervisors or to the District's School-Community Partnership
Director to be addressed and resolved.
REV: 04-29-16 FE
Pagel; of 9
ATTY/AGR.201 6.087/Redwood City School District - Hawes
