• Lead School Site Council and Leadership team and assist and support the visibility and understanding of non-academic programs on campus IV. Organizational Practices The Redwood City School District and the City of Redwood City through the Parks and Recreation Community Services agree on the following practices: Communication • Accord respect to everyone at all times. • interface with children and families in a warm, encouraging, strength-based way. • Participate in the creation and development of an effective internal communication system among service providers, this will allow for the timely notice of changes in service, staffing or schedule and other important issues. Evaluation/Coordination • Prevent duplication of services by informing either Director of School Community Partnerships, or the other providers of your organization's menu of services. • Collaborate and plan with the Director of School Community Partnerships to ensure an integrated delivery of services to students, families' and community (where applicable). • Coordinate evaluation efforts with the Director of School Community Partnerships to streamline data collection, avoid redundancy, share findings and data across programs and services and increase effectiveness and use of findings. • Participate in the Youth Data Archives project to share data across county, city, school, and non-profit entities in order to understand large-scale impact, cost-effectiveness, program modifications and improvements, if possible. • Where possible consolidate resources with other providers in the Community School to support a mutual target group, or to include a wider cross-section of needs. Service Delivery • Make the safety and well being of each child a primary consideration in the planning and executive of activities. • Remain informed concerning the various services and opportunities available to the students and parents through the diverse service providers in the school. • To the extent possible, support special projects, events and activities for children and families. • Support the school's disciplinary plan by enforcing the practice of school rules when children are within our care. • Demonstrate a strong commitment to seeking solutions and not casting blame. • Use the community as an authentic, invaluable learning center. V. Staff and Program Management PRCS Director at Hawes School will be co-managed by Director of School Community Partnerships or her designee and PROS Manager. The co-management is intended to provide the staff person with onsite daily support and guidance, content specific professional development, effective human resources and connections with larger community school efforts district-wide.
